Piazza del Plebiscito is located in the historic center, with an area of about 25 000 square meters the square is one of the largest in the city and in Italy. The Flavian Amphitheater is one of the two Roman amphitheaters existing in Pozzuoli and dates back to the second half of the 1st century AD. It was built to cope with the population growth of Puteoli, which made the old building used for public performances in the Republican age unsuitable.

Casina Vanvitelliana is a charming hunting lodge located on an islet of Lake Fusaro. Built under the reign of the Bourbons, it has a very complex plan and a long wooden pier that connects the Casina to the shore of the lake.
